Providing an array of short courses including bespoke programmes for new starts and more experienced personnel to raise their Health and Safety competencies.
Environment
The environment does not have to suffer due to oil operations. PSU can deliver short courses such as “Environmental Awareness & Hydrocarbon Response” and “Introduction to Waste Management”.
Operational
Delivery of these courses by suitably qualified instructors to build National capacity will increase the effectiveness, efficiency and safety of personnel in the oilfield.
Oil & Gas Training
PSU can facilitate introduction and specific discipline short courses e.g.” Basic Drilling” for Roustabouts and Roughnecks to increase technical understanding of down-hole operations.
Who we are
Both Directors have Engineering & Fire Service backgrounds before moving into oil industry in the 1990s. They performed Operational roles both onshore/offshore installations, new & developed areas before moving into Safety Services and Behavioural Safety coaching worldwide. Together, Tom & Kevin have over 35 years oilfield experience.
What we do
“Petroleum Skills Uganda Limited” (PSU) has been established as the region’s first and premier specialist provider of services and short-duration courses to enable the Ugandan oil industry to grow safely whilst achieving the National Content aspirations of the Government of Uganda’s Oil and Gas Policy 2008.
